Global Cement Journal held their first Global CemProcess Conference in London on April 24 and 25 of this year. The conference was attended by 90 delegates from 26 countries and focused on process optimisation in cement manufacturing (a full review of the conference can be found here).

A total of 19 technical presentations were given over the course of the two days covering a very wide range of topics. At the end of the conference the delegates voted on the best presentation and, we are proud to say, this award went to our very own Managing Director, Donald Cameron for his paper entitled -

‘A sonic sound device that works like a magic wand to increase production’

Don at Global CemProcess in London 2017

His opening presentation slide referred to Snake Oil Liniment which was sold in the ‘wild west’ as a universal cure for all ailments.

Snake Oil

He commented –

‘Would you say that I was peddling snake oil if I told you that I could offer you a simple sonic sound device which would:

  • Remove process bottlenecks
  • Optimise process performance
  • Maximise production output
  • Improve thermal efficiency

From here he proceeded to present a detailed look into the science behind the sound and an explination of just how our Acoustic Cleaners can achieve these claims.

So congratulations to the boss on another winning performance for Primasonics International. We look forward to see him present again soon.
