As a company we are renowned for our excellent pre and post sales service and we like to think that we go the extra mile (or kilometre) to help our customers and that certainly is what we have been doing over the years.

Our Engineers have travelled worldwide to visit customers sites for commissioning and here are a couple of examples of such journeys.

UK to Newcastle, NSW, Australia, via Sydney to a gypsum plant for the installation of our acoustic cleaners on the bottom of gypsum silos to prevent bridging.

Two separate flights were involved and the total distance covered there and back was 11,500 miles (18,600 km). Another was from the UK to San Paulo in Brazil for power generation installation of our acoustic cleaners. The total distance covered here and back was 12,000 miles (19,400 km)

So why am I writing about this subject, well simply because one of our Engineers is about to embark on another mammoth journey to the very north of Canada which involves taking three different flight each way. We have a new customer - Raglan Mine which is a large nickel mining complex in the Nunavik region of northern Quebec. It is located approximately 100 kilometres (62 mi) south of Deception Bay. Discovery of the deposits is credited to Murray Edmund Watts in 1931 or 1932. It is owned and operated by Glencore. The mine site is located in sub-arctic permafrost of the Cape Smith Belt, with an average underground temperature of −15 °C (5 °F). (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raglan_Mine)

The Primasonics Engineer’s travel schedule is from Manchester airport UK to Toronto to Montréal and finally to the remote Kattiniq/Donaldson Airport. Our Primasonics Acoustic Cleaners are being installed in a Heat Exchanger/Cooler where concentrated nickel power is causing a severe build up problem.

Due to our company having another successful year, three further overseas customer visits have been arranged within the next 6-8 weeks to Saudi Arabia, Russia and Taiwan. In addition, the Company will be presenting technical papers in Nottingham UK, Cairo Egypt and Porto Portugal.
Sounds good to us and to our customers worldwide!
